1. PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION (Purpose of Job) |
|||||
Diaconia ECCB is a large and stable non-profit organization in the Czech Republic. Its Centre for Relief and Development (DECCB CRD) provides humanitarian aid and development support both locally in the Czech Republic and internationally as well. In Southeast Asia, DECCB CRD is currently working in Bangladesh, Myanmar, Cambodia and Vietnam. The main partner of DECCB CRD in the region is Lutheran World Service and its localized offices.
The Project Assistant will do administrative and field assistance in the implementation of WASH and DRR projects in Cambodia that assigned by Diaconia ECCB International Project Manager for South East Asia and co-implemented by Life with Dignity. S/he will facilitate with local partners, stakeholder to provide technical skill training and coaching to NGO partners and key stakeholders.

2. DESCRIPTION OF POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES (Major Duties and Responsibilities) |

The Project Assistant will be responsible for: · Assist DECCB CRD team – ensuring operation of the office, administrative tasks, documentation, completion of financial and other documents · Assist in the implementation of the WASH and DRR projects in Cambodia, and administrative cooperation on other projects in the region (Bangladesh, Myanmar, Vietnam) · Close contact with the team in the field (Kampong Chhnang, Pursat) and preparation of regular updates · Day-to-day translation/interpretation from Khmer to English and vice versa · Coordinate of international visits and trainings to NGO partners and key stakeholders · Communicate with Cambodian Government offices at National and Sub-national levels · Participate on various meetings with networks, NGO, UN and government departments |

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED Detail the level of formal education and any qualifications required. |
· At least a Bachelor degree (agri-business or related field an asset) · Willingness to travel in rural areal · Independent, flexible, reliable and stress resistant · Willingness to learn new things |
